![]() I highly recommend the Log Flume to anyone who enjoys water rides and log flumes. Overall, a great Log Flume that is even better on a hot day. This time, the log makes a good splash and got me pretty wet. Once at the top, you notice that this drop is just as steep as the first and you gain speed fairly quickly on the way down. Climbing up the lift hill, you get a brief but good view of Rye Playland. The Six Flags Log ride is the first log ride in the world. The Log Flume ride is, however, a unique Six Flags creation. Flume rides are now an amusement park staple and are common at amusement parks across the nation. ![]() When you exit the cave, you continue to wind around for a while until you reach the final and rides largest drop. The Log Flume Ride is tied with the Carousel Ride as the fourth oldest attraction in the park. You then slowly meander through the cave around a U-turn to the right. The splash was okey and I got a little wet. ![]() I was shocked at how steep the small drop was and it got some pretty good speed before reaching the bottom. It isnt too large and you get up pretty quickly. Once the Log Flume begins, you slowly ride to the first lift hill. With a nice wooden station, you board the logs there. The cave from off the ride looks very good and the drops looked exciting. Located towards the back left side of the park, the Log Flume takes up a good chunk of land. It boasts to have “more Wright artifacts on display than any other place in the world, including the 1905 Wright Flyer III.The Log Flume at Rye Playland was very good and one of my favorites. The Wright Brothers National Museum also is in Dayton. Kennedy and other presidents conducted business, and the fun challenge of trying to land a plane in one of their flight simulators. The highlights for us were touring some of the older Air Force One planes, seeing where John F.
